About SeerahQuest

A cinematic, interactive journey through the life of the Prophet Muhammad

The Story

SeerahQuest: The Eternal Narrative transforms the life of the Prophet Muhammad into an immersive, chapter-by-chapter digital experience. Drawing from Shaykh Yasir Qadhi's comprehensive Seerah lecture series, we present 92 episodes that span from pre-prophethood Arabia to the farewell pilgrimage.

This is not a replacement for traditional scholarship — it's a gateway. Every chapter links back to its source lectures, every claim is footnoted, and scholarly nuance is preserved through our ScholarNote and DeepDive components.

Methodology

  • Primary Source: Shaykh Yasir Qadhi's Seerah of the Prophet lecture series (104 episodes)
  • Cross-referencing: Events verified against Ibn Ishaq, Ibn Hisham, al-Tabari, and the Sahih collections
  • Scholarly review: Every chapter undergoes human review before publication
  • Transparency: All source references are linked and verifiable

How It's Built

SeerahQuest is a static site built with Astro, deployed on Cloudflare Pages. It loads zero JavaScript by default — interactive features like maps, genealogy trees, and progress tracking use Astro's Islands architecture to ship JS only where needed.

  • Privacy-first: no cookies, no accounts, no tracking beyond anonymous analytics
  • Progress is stored locally on your device
  • Works offline for saved chapters
  • Accessible: WCAG 2.1 AA compliant

Source Lectures

This project is based on the Seerah lecture series by Shaykh Yasir Qadhi, delivered at the East Plano Islamic Center. The series is freely available on YouTube and is one of the most comprehensive English-language biographies of the Prophet .
